Please help us give a big WELCOME BACK to the Central Washington Agricultural Museum's PIONEER POWER SHOW & SWAP MEET (the oldest running event in Union Gap)! Save the date, come on out and learn about agricultural history. Wander through the exhibits & enjoy an all-around good old-fashioned time!
Join us at Union Gap’s Fullbright Park for this exciting event August 19-20th, 2023.
The Pioneer Power Show started in 1981 and has been going strong since. This popular event is held the 3rd weekend of August each year.
See the equipment of yesteryear with vintage trucks and engines on display for the equipment enthusiasts and watch our popular equipment parade. Learn about blacksmithing and watch demonstrations of the turn of the century sawmill, and the apple packing line. Enjoy the quilt displays, other historic exhibits and more. See wheat threshing done the old-fashioned way and then enjoy freshly baked bread at the Bread Shack.
Especially for the kids there are several free activities. Ride the kiddie train, the kiddie wagon, and for smaller children, the animal swing. Take the opportunity to drive an excavator. Children can also try to win a bike or toy by playing the Passport game.
For those wanting to experience some old-time fun, there will be tractor pulls, tractor games and draft horse buggy demonstrations, and more. New this year, the Pacific Northwest Vintage Snowmobile Club will be on display for your enjoyment. So have fun while learning about the area’s agricultural history.
The event is $5.00 per person/children under 12 are free.
